Il Collettivo is a collective tasting put together by 4 independent merchants with a desire to showcase the exciting and progressive wines being produced across Italy. With such strong support for Italian wines in the market currently, the group thought it strange there was no relevant tasting for sommeliers and buyers to taste all the great things out there and so decided to do something about it!
With that in mind they have organised a comprehensive tasting that will be co-hosted by 32 winemakers from all the significant regions of the country. There will be around 200 wines on tasting as well as a feature table highlighting both interesting indigenous varieties and wines offering ideal summer drinking.
Throughout the day there will be a series of masterclasses conducted by winemakers and at lunchtime there will be a unique range of older wines to enjoy alongside some delicious food supplied by a renowned London deli.. It is hoped this will become an annual tasting and a must attend event for anyone interested in proper Italian wines.
Tenuta Fralluca will be present
La Fralluca: Francesca and Luca is our very own vinous fairy tale. They met in 1998 while both working in fashion and immediately fell in love. Leaving the fashion world behind on a quest to find a prime property – “in the areas with great potential but still not so famous,” they were fortunate to meet and employ Federico Curtaz, ex head viticulturist at Gaja. 3 years on, and they settled on a beautiful spot in Suvereto. Here they craft wines that mirror the beautiful terroir and surrounding nature.
